ABHIRA
The Academy of Bharatiya Heritage Interpretation, Research & Advancement (ABHIRA) brings India’s civilisational knowledge closer to contemporary academic, digital, and cultural life.
Established in March 2026, ABHIRA was created with a straightforward aim: to bring people closer to India's heritage. As Brainware University's heritage research and production centre in Kolkata, we record cultural traditions, places, stories, and living practices, and carry them outward through research, storytelling, film, publishing, and responsible AI.
ABHIRA brings heritage nearer, makes it clearer, and lets it breathe again.
Our Five Clear Commitments
- Advancing interdisciplinary research in Indian culture and knowledge systems
- Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems into teaching and learning
- Preserving and reinterpreting heritage through responsible technology
- Supporting living traditions in music, art, craft, and performance
- Sharing heritage with the public through content, exhibitions, and cultural outreach
Artificial intelligence is used with care, discipline, and human accountability. Every output is grounded in research, shaped through expert interpretation, and reviewed by people before it reaches the public.
Our work is aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and UGC guidelines on Indian Knowledge Systems.
